Chinese vice premier stresses reforms and innovation in economic development

FUZHOU, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang has underscored the importance of reforms and innovation in the country's economic transformation during an inspection tour of China's eastern Fujian Province.

In the three-day trip which ended Saturday, Li called for all-round reforms and breakthroughs in key sectors to improve the country's open economy and boost the steady and relatively fast economic growth in the long-term, as well as social harmony and progress.

Li visited tea gardens and reconstructed villages that were hit by floods last year. He attached great significance to innovation in the development of the rural economy and people's livelihood, and stressed the importance of quality in food production.

Further, Li visited enterprises in the Pingtan comprehensive experiment zone and housing projects in the coastal province, asking enterprises to create opportunities from new techniques in industrial restructuring, such as competitive products and talents.

He encouraged Taiwanese-funded enterprises to contribute more to cross-Strait economic exchanges.

While visiting an affordable housing project in Fujian's provincial capital Fuzhou, Li said reforms and innovation would play a major role in the country's social development. He noted that it is important to set up an effective system that helps both project financing and management.

He said that open and fair distribution, as well as quality of the housing projects, should be enhanced to ensure a comfortable living of the people.

A backlash builds up against China

"A Summary" – Apr 2, 2011 (Kryon channeled by Lee Carroll) -

" ... I am Kryon. I've just given you the potentials. "Ah," you say. "But Kryon, right before you leave, you left out the big one. Nobody talks about China." All right. I'll give you still another prediction. China is very interesting, is it not? Suddenly this very old country finds itself in an odd place. They hold the debt for the United States! Some of you would say, "This is not good. This is not going to work." So let me tell you what this is about. Synchronicity has struck, because now China understands that if they're ever going to get paid, they're going to have to ally themselves closer with Western values and help create abundance. Here is the prediction: China will turn North Korea loose soon. The alliance will dissolve, or become stale. There will be political upheaval in China. Not a coup and not a revolution. Within the inner circles of that which you call Chinese politics, there will be a re-evaluation of goals and monetary policy. Eventually, you will see a break with North Korea, allowing still another dictator to fall and unification to occur with the south. How do you like it so far?... "
