Dhaka (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Thursday said that Bangladesh has almost recovered from the impact of the global economic recession. "In the outgoing year our exports, imports of capital machineries were on the rise, foreign exchange reserves and remittance also satisfactory.
In fact, we are almost out of the impact of global economic recession," said the Finance Minister at a Vendors Agreement signing ceremony of Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL).
When asked about the challenges in the New Year, the Finance Minister said: "Energy is the main force. We need to expand it in a big way." He said there is need to expand public expenditure and also mobilize resources.
